Total body stretch for the rest of us

Improve flexibility and mobility with this full-body stretch routine.

Welcome to this full-body stretch routine that will help improve your flexibility and mobility. Today we will be doing a series of stretches that will target all major muscle groups. To make this routine more challenging, we will incorporate jumping rope throughout the stretches. To begin, start with your head down and slowly lower your upper torso until it is in-between your arms. Hold this position for a few seconds. Next, jump rope for 30 seconds to get your heart rate up. After jumping rope, with straight legs and arms, bend your back to lower your legs towards your side with a straight back. Hold this position for a few seconds before jumping rope for another 30 seconds.

Now, we will move on to the next stretch. Start in the same position as the first hold, but this time you want to reach a high position with your right hand. Hold for a few seconds before jumping rope for 30 seconds. Next, reach your right arm up with your right hand while in the same position as the first hold. Hold for a few seconds before jumping rope for another 30 seconds. Continuing on, reach your left hand up with your left hand while in the same position as the first hold. Hold for a few seconds before jumping rope for 30 seconds. Then, reach towards your right leg with your arms together, and reach your right arm up with your right hand and your left arm in the same way for a second hold. Hold for a few seconds before jumping rope for another 30 seconds.

Finally, we will finish with the last stretch. Reach your left hand up with your left hand while in the same position as the first hold. Hold for a few seconds before jumping rope for 30 seconds. Then, reach towards your right leg and bend your right knee and reach out with your right arm with a straight posture, reaching out to your right hand and reach your side with your right hand. Hold for a few seconds before jumping rope for another 30 seconds. In the last position, reach for your head and bend your neck, and hold for a few seconds before slowly lowering your arms to the floor and resting them on the ground.
